Hey there! I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology and Criminology at the University of Arkansas. In 2026, I received my PhD from Tulane University, where I also held fellowships via the Center for the Gulf South and the Mellon Graduate Program in Community-Engaged Scholarship. I primarily consider myself an urban sociologist: I study cities, neighborhoods, and the social dimensions of housing, commerce, local government, and more. A theme throughout my research is the relationship between various urban processes and racial inequality. My work has been featured in academic and public venues such as American Sociological Review, Social Problems, City & Community, Housing Policy Debate, and Shelterforce. I am also a proud educator, and teach undergraduate courses on sociology, housing, and urban issues. To learn more about me and my work, check out the tabs above!
